These look adorable in the pictures and I was super excited to get them to wear with my SavageX logo bralettes. But I just recieved them and I'm like, extremely underwhelmed, if not a little shocked to have actually paid $30 for these literal $5 men's boxers. Is this a joke? The quality is laughable, just an elastic band slapped on cheap, stiff, non-stretch woven cotton - like the kind that's normally used for lining. The waistband is not fitted enough nor the (non-stretch) fabric gathered or tailored enough to actually fit a woman's hips - not at all like the photos that depict a woman with a body type very similar to mine in a high waisted pair of women's boxers that skim the hips and booty.... no way. These were too big in the waist, too tight on my butt, they're not even high waisted without giving severe camel-toe, and I sized UP!! There's absolutely no difference in the cut (not to mention quality) of these and a junky pair of cheapest of the cheap men's boxers. Certainly nothing near the "stop stealing your man's boxer briefs and upgrade with a pair made for you" advertising on the SavageX Instagram account. These could've been worth it if they were simply made out of a higher quality material with stretch, and some attention was put to making them fit for a woman's curves. Alternatively, they could've just marketed them to men, because that's what they are. Cheap basic men's boxers, made for straight up-and-down men's bodies. But with all that said, I simply can't even remotely fathom where the $29 price point came from, and this is exactly why I am so shocked to have recieved these and found no redeeming quality in the cut or fit or fabric to make them in any way justifiable at that outrageous price. Everything of this quality on the market is like $5, maybe $10 at the very very most. To put it in perspective, if I had ordered these from some knock-off website for $10, knowing full-well they were knock-offs and expecting cheap quality, I would STILL be disappointed in the quality. I expected so much more of these, perhaps it's because I am a seamstress myself and I've been incredibly happy with the quality, fit, fabric choices. and attention to detail from all of the Savage X Fenty pieces I've purchased thus far (which is quite a lot) These are simply not up to par with the rest of the brand and the price is embarrassing. There's nothing wrong with including a cheapo pair of men's boxers along with the rest of the "I am savage" collection, I think there's still a lot of people who would love these, but they're still just basic, shapeless, cheap cotton boxers with no frills, no design or special fit, nothing to make them a $29 upgrade to stealing your man's underwear. The band is cute, the silk screen print is cute, but the upsell here is outrageous and these really need to be priced down to $10 or $15 bucks AT MOST.
